He Dreamt He Was Dreaming

 

 

On 3 November 2006

off the Kennedy expressway

near the Ohio Street exit

at the base of the

Flame Of The Millenium

and next to a sign reading

thou shalt not kill

burned Malachi Ritscher.

 

He refused to finance a war

(the loneliness was overwhelming).

He wrote his own obituary

(no one really knew him).

He was grateful for all he’d been given

(the bigger the present the higher the price).

 

And he paid.  Dear God how he paid.
